Meta tags are snippets of text that describe a page’s content; the meta tags don’t appear on the page itself, but only in the page’s code.   • Title tags -  still the single most important piece of metadata on the page. Their format is simple, and as with meta tags. The best title tags should begin with the most relevant keywords, product name, or article name, and end with the name of the site as shown above.
